Green Power Smoothie

We know that opinions are divided about the goodness of smoothies, but being able to drink a decent amount of your 7-a-day can't be a bad thing. Especially not with our green smoothie recipe.
You will need:
- A fist-full or curly kale
- A fist-full of spinach
- 1 small carrot roughly chopped
- Optional - if you have more of a sweet tooth then adding a small amount of fruit will sweeten this drink right up. We recommend a few chunks of melon or a few strawberries. Similarly adding a little fruit juice to your smoothie aids the blending, 100% fruit juice is best.
Go wild and add a sprig of mint or a touch of lime juice to the concoction. Add all of your ingredients into your blender and blend.
This can be enjoyed with an energy-releasing breakfast (see our blog) or as a healthy snack between gym sessions.
Kale - cholesterol lowering benefits, high in iron, vitamin K, A and C and full of antioxidants
Spinach - full of vitamin K, A and C, as well as minerals and antioxidants.
Carrots - rich in vitamin A and C and again full of antioxidants
