If you were looking for a British bad boy to star in your latest blockbuster, chances are Danny Dyer would feature at the top of that list. With an extensive list of film, TV and theatre performances under his belt, we are more than used to seeing the Essex hard man causing havoc on our screens. And with his new role in Eastenders we can definitely expect to see a lot more where that came from.
It’s fair to say that football runs through Danny’s veins; an ardent West Ham fan and he is even chairman of Greenwich Borough FC, "I just love football and the chance of being involved with a club is like a dream come true." It may have only been a publicity stunt to raise the club’s profile but it sure did work for the non-league team to have Mr Dyer on board.
Danny’s love for football is often combined with his day job and has seen Danny travel the world to get an insight into the hardcore football club fan’s worlds in ‘The Real Football Factories International.’ He also took his hard man act to a new level in 2008, as he filmed the gritty documentary ‘Danny Dyer’s Deadliest Men’ where he ventured into the underworld to hunt down some of the most notorious and feared men in Britain.
Danny has a real love for clothes which is why we were pleased he chose to wear Chess London on the red carpet for the premiere of his most recent movie, Run For Your Wife where he stars alongside Denise van Outen and Sarah Harding and at the Evening Standard Awards the following day, see the coverage here. The film might not have scooped up any Oscars, but there are certainly two great reasons to watch this film (and we’re not talking about Danny’s acting or wardrobe).
