Luke Wright, England Cricketer wears Chess London
Posted: Feb 11 2013
To me, the two things which typify England are the sound of leather on willow on a beautiful summer’s day and finely tailored clothes. I guess that makes Luke Wright a typical Englishman then; renowned cricketer and wearer of Chess London menswear.
At 27, Wright is coming into his prime years as an international cricketer - a fact the New Zealanders are finding out to their cost as Wright first played destroyer with the bat and then, err destroyer, with the ball.
Throughout his career Wright has developed a reputation for power and hitting quick runs, making him ideally suited to the shorter forms of the game. In the 2011/12 season he played for the Melbourne Stars in Australia's Big Bash and once again showcased his ability to hit quick-fire runs by hitting a huge 117 from just 60 deliveries including nine sixes and eight fours against the Hobart Hurricanes – the highest score in Australian domestic Twenty20 – makes you proud to be English!
Below, Luke Wright wears a classic Chess London t-shirt. Made from the softest cotton we’ve ever found it’s perfect under a blazer or just with jeans if the icy weather abates.
Not only an international sportsman with great style but with his bleach blond hair, surfer boy looks, newly born son and beautiful wife, his life seems perfect. However, he is Newcastle United fan, so I guess you can't have everything!
